Financial Policies

Please see below the updated Blue Heron Wellness financial policies that will go into effect August 15, 2023:

Insurance:
Blue Heron Wellness is a participating provider with several insurance companies. We will file all claims on your behalf. Any copayments, coinsurance and deductibles are your responsibility.

Card on File:
Blue Heron Wellness requires that a credit card is on file for your account.

Following each session, Blue Heron Wellness will submit any relevant insurance claims on your behalf. Upon receiving payment for submitted claims, the amount of client responsibility will be charged to the credit card on file. Your card will not be charged more than $150 at a time.  Blue Heron Wellness will not be required to provide any further notice before charging the card. This policy also applies to any copayments, coinsurance and deductibles that may be due.

Please note, that if a credit card isn't provided, you may be expected to pay for all charges in full at the time of service.

Self Pay:
For clients who don't have or choose not to use insurance, we offer a self pay option. The charge is $85 per 1 hour session. The credit card on file will be charged on the same day as your appointment.

Cancellation/No Show:
We kindly ask that you provide a 24 hour notice if you are unable to attend your scheduled session.  If you are a no show for your appointment, you will be charged an $85 no show fee. This fee won't be billed to your insurance company, but will be charged to your card on file on the same day as your missed session.

We understand that there may be times when an unforeseen emergency arises, and you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment. If this is the case, please contact the Office Manager, who may be able to waive the no show fee. You can reach the Office Manager by calling or texting 803-920-2359. You may also call or text Renea directly at 803-609-7792. You are able to send a message through the Blue Heron Wellness portal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as well.

Please note, we offer the option to meet virtually if you are unable to attend your session in person.
